Life is a Mystery

My life was a mystery even as I lived it.”

(Melissa Gilbert)

Truth is often stranger than fiction, or at least it is in my life. I seem to have a knack for getting myself caught in unique situations, particularly because my work used to send me from France to Frankfurt, Amsterdam to Australia, and all over the UK and the US.

In an interview on the I AM A READER, NOT A WRITER blog, I was asked what is something people would be surprised to know about you? I revealed that in one of my previous jobs, I sat in a meeting with the CIA on one side of the table and the KGB on the other. It was back in the mid ’80s in a meeting of an international standards organization. And if memory serves, I was also the only woman a the table full of men! In the midst of the #METOO movement, I can’t help thinking we’ve still come a long way girl.
